The Jura Crest Trail starts in Dielsdorf, a few miles from Zurich, ends in Nyon near Geneva and is one of seven national Swiss trails. Also known as the Jura High Route, its 310 km length has over 13.500 m of ascent on easy hiking trails.
Located on the Swiss-French border, the Jura provides panoramic views over the Swiss and French Alps. Vantage points offer extensive vistas across the Rhone and Rhine Valleys, the Berenese Oberland to the east, and the Haute Savoie to the south.
The Jura offers day and weekend walking options, while the entire two-weeks long-distance route visits some fascinating medieval towns, spectacular geological landforms, rolling alpine meadows and woodland.
